P0352, P0353 & P0354 Codes

Got codes P0352, 353 & 354 today on my 2004 Mach 1 when racing. Does this mean the COP's are going bad or something else causing it?

Make sure the wires are not twisted to tight at the connector of the COPS, I had the same issue and it only showed up at high RPMs on the dyno. Swapped out COPs and still did it, then put the originals back in and untwisted the wires a bit and fixed it.

Or, they are going bad and you just found out when you hit high RPMs. Did you check your alternator output, etc. Make sure you have enough voltage.

Re: P0352, P0353 & P0354 Codes

No to the alternator output. It just happened yesterday at the track and I borrowed someone's tuner to read the codes. Nothing has been touched on the wires and I have owned the car for over 10 years so I don't think it is twisted wires. Car ran perfectly fine on the almost 1 hour drive home. It is like you said, it only shows up at the high RPM's. Someone sad water may have gotten under the coil covers. Set of coils are expensive and hate to replace them if it not the problem. Could it be something with the PCM? Do the codes mean it is cylinders 2, 3 and 4? I was looking at replacement coils last night and it looks like the Ford Racing ones are good ($278) as are the MSD's ($203). Do you have any experience with either? Thanks.

Move those coils to different cylinders and see if the codes change. If they follow the coils then they are bad

If you do buy new ones, Spend the extra on the Motorcraft COPs

Re: P0352, P0353 & P0354 Codes

Problem was with multiple cylinders. When I removed the coil covers there was a lot of corrosion in 5 of the plug wells. One even had water in it. The coil cover bolts were pretty loose. I had also bought new coil covers so I replaced all of the ignition coils and the covers and torqued them to factory spec. Haven't had a chance to open it up but it definitely idled much smoother. Never occurred to me that water was getting under the coil covers.
