Magnum Swap - Driveshaft Length?

Hey guys, it's been a while! I just bought a 2.97 T-56 magnum last week and I'm getting ready for it to be delivered and I wanted to get my driveshaft modified before I do the instal. (currently have the ford racing aluminum one for the 3650)

Has anybody with the stock engine location, a solid rear, and a magnum had their driveshaft shortened? I'd like to know by how much, or if you have the measurement written down from the tailshaft of the trans to the flange on the rear end that would be a huge help. Trying to avoid the 25 dollar per day charge at the shop where I'm installing the transmission. Thanks ya'll!

-Mark

Re: Magnum Swap - Driveshaft Length?

Yeah, I've already got a shop that is doing the work. I want to get the driveshaft shortened before I do the trans swap.

I just need the measurement from the tailshaft of the trans to the flange on the rear axle - OR if someone remembers how much they had cut off their driveshaft when they did the swap.

Re: Magnum Swap - Driveshaft Length?

I'm pretty sure it's 2" shorter, I've already looked into it. You could just get someone to measure a 03-04 cobra driveshaft.
