Lowering springs, where did I go wrong?

I have a 2004 Mach 1. I wanted about a 1" drop, nothing drastic. I did my research, so I thought, and decided on the Ford Performance M-5300-C springs.

According to several websites the estimated drop for 99-04 mustangs is 1-1/8" in front. I found reviews that said on a Mach 1 the drop was about 1". Perfect!

I just completed installing the BBK caster camber plates with the BBK isolators and the M-5300-C springs, fronts only.

I am only seeing about 1/2" drop.

I'd be happy with a 3/4" drop but, only 1/2". What did I miss?

I am hesitant to install the rears because I don't want the rear end to be lower than the front.

Re: Lowering springs, where did I go wrong?

The Mach 1s were lower than GTs from the factory, so non-Mach 1 figures wouldn't apply.

Are the bbk isolators thicker than stock? Are you sure the pigtails of the springs are seated correctly?

Re: Lowering springs, where did I go wrong?

You used poly urethane isolators. They're thicker than factory rubber and also don't compress at all. Put the factory isolators in and it ought to come down some.

Thanks for the options. I'll make sure everything is seated correctly. My oem isolators are in still in good shape I'll try them also.

Re: Lowering springs, where did I go wrong?

Falcon is right. I contacted Volgland when I was considering them and they confirmed most drop spring numbers are 1/2 inch less when it comes to the Mach since its already that much lower then the GT it will also work on. I ended up cutting 3/4 coil out of the front and sportlined the rear.
