Re: Operation Rescue, 2004 Mach 1

Okay, so life popped up there for a little bit, but I'm back to working on this. I mated the engine and transmission back together last night, and then I was able to slip the engine mounts into place... sort of. I ran out of time, but I still need to move the engine/transmission back about a half inch so that I can actually bolt the mounts to the block.

Then I'll install exhaust manifolds, A/C, P/S, and the starter, and then everything underneath should be finished.

Side note: where can I find a new dipstick? The tube is fine, but the dipstick itself has somehow been damaged.

Curse all of you who saw me drop that engine in without the exhaust manifolds installed and said nothing. I was worried about room and hooking something. Now I'm going to have bloody knuckles by the time they're finally on.

Shouldn't you have put the exhaust manifolds on before you dropped it in?
