Stupid Question

Is it just me, or is anyone else noticing the complete lack of information on safety gear on these newer mustangs? Have not seen anyone talk about driveshaft loops, bolting slicks to the wheels, or even more concerning is the lack of any commentary about scattershields? There are a lot of high hp cars running around today even in stock form that don’t have any of that gear ever mentioned.

I know, I am old school, and not terribly cool anymore ( not that I ever was) but even the old Tbird Supercoupes came with a factory installed driveshaft loop...

Forgive my Friday rant...

Re: Stupid Question

I think it gets overlooked by most when just booting on a blower

The heard could use some thinning anyway

Re: Stupid Question

None of that is sexy or cool looking. Herd thinning is not a bad idea.
The Blowfish shifter upgrade I put on my Boss 302 does make for a driveshaft loop once installed. Plus, it improves the stock shifter about 150%. If you ever get a chance to look at the SN197 shifter design and mount, you might hurt yourself laughing that this actually got put into production.

Re: Stupid Question

New mustang owners are too busy doing muffler deletes or installing Corsa Extremes to go with their "Pop" tunes to worry about driveshaft loops.
