Re: my irs swap is complete!
nice cars, i agree the ride is much better but there's not one day i dont miss the wheel hop and worrying about busting a axle. plus the drop in weight was nice.

Nice cars! One day I will have the same setup, but in black
Are you gonna road race the mach or turn it into a handling machine?

Re: my irs swap is complete!
Pretty sweet! I'd soo do the same exact thing if I had a Termi! I did a "similar" rear end swap back in August of last year. A buddy of mine got t-boned by a big rig, needed a place to park his GT (instead of having it sit at the police impound) till his insurance was able to take a look at the car. As an incentive he let me have his built rear (31 spline axels, 4.10s, 3" extended wheel studs, etc.), along with his MM LCAs and CHE double adjustable uppers....how could I refuse?! LoL Had I kept my old worn out rear Tokicos, he woulda let me have his Competition Engineering 12 way adjustable shocks! I soo wanted them but didn't want to let go of the yellow Koni's I had just bought! Oh well, it's all good! His insurance gave him a nice fat check and I got a pretty decent "hook up" if I do say so myself!

Nice to be able to do a side to side swap like that. How long to drop the SRA and install the IRS?

Re: my irs swap is complete!
It took about 3 days for everything, thats including allot of drinking and stading around bs'ing lol. We ran into trouble changing the gear oil in the irs witch slowed us down for a bit and rewiring the abs on both cars slowed us down a little as well. All in all its a very easy swap with both cars side by side we ran into very few issues and soooo worth the effort!

Re: my irs swap is complete!
I wouldn't feel comfortable just lifting the back like that and putting all the weight up front. And leaving the chance of it rolling forward on it being in gear. At least it looks like you put some brick wheel chalks up front.
Nice job doing the swap yourself! A polished IRS catback looks awesome from behind.
