wont start after fuel pump wire upgrade
So we are in the process of doing an eaton swap on the mach. Fired it up for a second the other day and realized we had a leak at the oil cooler (wrong gasket). Got it changed out and had time to do the wire upgrade at the same time. Went to fire it up, cranks but won't start, seems we have low pressure at the rails. It's 8 degrees outside and no heat in the shop so thought I'd see if anyone wants to do a little keyboard mechanicing.
Here is how we wired up the relay for the upgrade. 30 to battery via 8ga wire. Pink/Black wire from FPDM to pin 87, Pink/Black wire from CCRM to pin 86 and ground to pin 85. We will be replacing the stock tank with a cobra tank and pumps but haven't yet. I added the additional 8ga wire to the Pink/Brown wire at the FPDM but haven't connected it to the harness at the HAT. When turning the key over, the fuel pump cycles and the relay kicks on. We also have 12 volts on the 8ga wire that is coming off the Pink/Brown wire. However, when testing fuel at the rail but releasing pressure at the schrader valve the fuel comes out like a weak water fountain from your high school. It's almost as if the PATS system is active but the theft light only blinks when the car is off, as soon as you turn the car to accessory, it comes on solid and then turns off.
