Wish me luck...

Well tomorrow I am bringing the Mach in to the dealership to get the alignment checked. I just put on new wheels and tires combo (fr500) and noticed some inside wear on the front (old tires). I have never had good luck with front end alignments... There is always something that needs to be replaced. For once I want to just go in (anywhere) check the alignment and correct it if wrong. So will see. Here is wishing for just toe spec out.. Am I an a** for telling the service manager I do not want anyone driving my car to check it after they are complete? I guess I have no faith in people, I can picture them saying "This thing sounds like a beast, lets see what it has" while they get sideways on airline hwy..

Yeah i know prob would never happen.

Whos doing it? Just had to replace the ball joints on mine at 123k, and with the alignment it drives like it hasn't driven in a long time!
Robinson Bros. show coming up in May if you're up for it.

Re: Wish me luck...

They have to drive it before and after to make sure the alignment is correct. But they shouldn't need to take it very far for that. One of the last times I took my Cobra in I could hear the exhaust the entire time.

Re: Wish me luck...

If its like most places, you should be able to watch them while they drive it back there. Firestone was where I took mine most of the time, small shop and can see everything. Good luck

Re: Wish me luck...

I doubt I have anything bad on my front end, unless it goes bad from sitting! My car is not a daily. Has about 30k miles currently. Will see, my appointment is at 8am this morning..
I did do some more work last night on the rear tires. The pic above shows the rear and a 1" spacer. Made the rear tires stick out about an 1/2" from the rear fender. I removed that yesterday and have them nice and tucked in. I will grab a new pic later today.
