On3Performance turbo anyone??? Help needed!!

Does anybody on this site has or had the experience of dealing with a On3performance FF Turbo kit.??? Need Advice A.S.A.P. Please

I already have the Cash to put my car back together witch is been garaged for 6 Months and it's killing me seeing it there collecting dust

So anyway I'm just really debating on going Turbo Or Nitrous.. Looking to get 450RWHP or possibly a little more. Stock engine with 39k miles and not planing on wasting more $$ on building engine or car just wanna get done and over with and get me a new one Thanks guys !!!!

Re: On3Performance turbo anyone??? Help needed!!

I don't have any personal experience with that kit whatsoever, buy from what I've read, its a pretty poorly put together kit. I've read that a lot of people have had fitment issues, have had to refab the tubing, the clamps don't hold right, and the turbos themselves weren't really any good....something about the bearings going out prematurely. Anyway, I'm sure others with actual experience will chime in and give you the facts

Theres a couple threads on here if you search for them. If you want moderate power and to be done quick I'd just spray it.

I on the other hand haven't read too much bad about On3's kit and if it was really that bad, you'd see them for sale used all over slightly used! The only kits they made I've seen for sale are pretty much foxbody kits and that's probably due to them wanting even more power.

From what I've seen there are quite a few people running On3's kit with great results outside of getting their leaks fixed - which ia due to them having crappy v-bands in most cases. But v-bands aren't that bad in rice and you can replace if need to!

Re: On3Performance turbo anyone??? Help needed!!

I have the on3 ff kit on my mach 1. Honestly its every bit as good as the hellion kit and some (actually the hellion kit the shop has isnt even stainless steel). I have built kits myself on my other cars and honestly after installing the kit on my car my feelings are a little hurt. There is no way I could even buy the materials to build the kit for the same money. That doent even include labor. Bottom line its a **** good deal. I have a few pics in the wheel and tire section. It bolted on without any modification and I was able to run my stock fan and a/c. So far I am more than pleased the kit is very complete I only had to grab a few small items to finish it.

Items as follows:

1. and air filter
2. 2 pcv breathers from pep boys
3. 1 ebay turbo oil feed restrictor. (it comes with an oil feed kit but I just like to run the restrictors as the 4.6 runs on fairly high oil pressure).

One other thing is that jegs actually sells the kit I bought from them and they have superior customer service. If you buy it from jegs they will make sure if you have any issues to get it taken care of. Dont believe all the hype on the net allot of turbo companys and customers start the hype because its not a big name, the kits probly not made in america, and its hurting there sales. It is a great kit and it works. You really cant ask for much more.

I put a kit on a Mach 1 as well. It fit perfectly.

I saw where Shane on here had issues. Not sure what it was about, but I have installed several kits now (and assisted with 5-6 as well) and they were all similar, easy and fit well.

As for them being a crappy kit, well I guess it all depends on what someone is looking to get for $2300. If you expect to get a $2300 turbo kit, most end up being pleasantly surprised.

Re: On3Performance turbo anyone??? Help needed!!

We have put 3 of these kits on 2v cars with no major problems. There were some small fitment issues, but nothing that cant be worked out. Two of the kits went with the turbo upgrade, one had the turbo that came with the kit. You also need to spend the cash to do a fuel system upgrade, we use the new holley pump and filters which can be bought for around $500. The injectors they sell are total crap, the last car we installed the kit on 3 of the injectors were faulty. So, I would recommend going with the ford racing injectors. However, overall I think the kit is a good bargain. My car runs on a 150 shot of nitrous with the stock fuel pump, and I have been running it since 2006 that way with zero issues. This winter I will be installing the on3 kit, as I am tired of spending the money on nitrous refills. Thats my .02 cents worth.
