It may not be common knowledge but Dale Sr was not even close to the worst driver to screw with on the track. In no particular order:

Ricky Rudd
Tommy Ellis
Anyone named Allison
DW
Geoff Bodine
Harry Gant
Cale Yarborough
Joe Weatherly

He was not well educated but was one of the smartest drivers to reach the Cup series. In his words, "they have an option, move over or get moved. The decision is in their hands."

Just got back from the race, I was cheering Hamlin for causing that caution because Junior was gone. Figured thats the way it was going to end when they bunched them back up. I loved it.

In my opinion, it was both of their faults. Yes Kyle got into the corner a little hard but Jr. wasn't gving him any room either. I mean seriously, if Jr. would have gave him room, Kyle wouldn't have hit him, heck maybe Kyle wouldn't have even gotten loose. Watching the replay, kyle barely got loose and was already into Jr. On the flip side, if Kyle would have taken a little easier going into the turn, he wouldn't have gotten loose either.

Like it was said before, if it were Jr. getting into Kyle, it would have been alright. I hate all this crap that just because it was Dale Jr, it's automatically the other drivers fault. Just like all the polls you see during the race. Dale Jr. can be 10 laps down and he still would win the vote if it were to ask who would win the race.

It was racing, Shrub or not. I just wouldn't want to be on the security staff who had to escort him out. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of JR nation do somethign truly stupid.
Shrub hasn't garnered any new fans, that's for sure. Maybe that's why Stewrat wants out!?!

I hate seeing Kenseths streak of bad luck continue, but at least Biffle and Edwards had a respectable finish.

Kyle and Dales on track altercation was there own fault. Kyles after race comments is what I'm refering to. Ofcourse the JR. fans will be upset for the on track nonsense, but the replay tells the tale. Both racing hard. Both caused the accident. Sr. would race you clean for a lap or two

Bigears does seem to have a 'bit' of an attitude problem. Even in a siuation that he really is clean on, he's defensive (and offensive...at the same time! ). I feel sorry for Denny, as he was dominant, and having come off of a great win the night before, could have had a great weekend at the home track.

My problem with Kyle Busch is not so much that he wrecked JR.(both had fault). It's how the punk carries himself off the track and that he drives a Toyota.Both his Nationwide cup interview and the Sprint cup interview after both races were tasteless. The shame of it all is that Kyle Busch is one gifted driver that looks like he is going to make a serious mark of greatness on the track. Stewart is no longer the star of that team.

As for Jr. I like Jr. but I am not a livid jump on the bandwagon fan of his because of who his daddy was. I was not a big Earnhardt Sr. fan. I thought he was a great driver, but he also was reckless on the track, and often was dirty. I would agree if this were someone else most of you would hate Sr and the same would be for JR. because of his lineage.

Also let me throw something else out here. Some of you seem to be so rabid for Roush because you swear by Fords(and that's ok, I swear by Hendricks). You post week in and week out that good a Ford won, or I wish a Ford won. Or I don't like him because he don't drive a Ford. Yet Jr. does not drive a Ford, and many of pledge your allegiance to him in spite of driving a Chevy? and attack other drivers because they are not in a Ford. I"ve always stated, I could care less about the car unless it's a Toyota.

uhhh...I agree! I think Jr. is a pretty cool cat. Seems laid back and always carries himself well during interviews. Kyle does have the talent, he just lacks the "charm".

Ummm....always drove Fords, dad drove Fords, this is kind of a Ford based site, So I'd say the Ford fan base here should be pretty strong. There are exceptions to my feelings aobut such things. I was happy to see Kurt go. Not a guy I'd ever wanna root for. He hasn't made a big noise since leaving the Roush camp. Mark was always one of my favorites, and even driving a Chebby, will always be a class act in my book. Now that Jr. is with HMS I can pretty much hate on thier entire team and not feel bad about it, although seeing Jr. choked up last night in the post race interview made wonder just how much he wanted to clock Shrub. I have some serious Gordon and Johnson fans who made my life he!! last year, and this year is payback time as far I'm concerned. You remember the ad with the guy who had JJ with him the whole day and he couldn't say 'Jimmie Johnson' enough? It's really that bad.
Got a Shrub fan at work that's nearly as bad, and he's been on a roll this year, so it's easy to hate on him, as it was last year. Stewrat was never a favorite of mine, and his switch to Toyota didn't rank him any higher in my book. DJs leaving rankled me when it became aparent he was going Toyota.
There are a lot of drivers I like, Denny being one of them, that don't drive Ford. Casey's another. I like their style, and I wish them success. I don't for a minute think that a Ford will dominate every race. I do hope for the next champion to come from the blue oval corner and if he does backflips, all the better.
So, here's to another season of controvery, silliness, jaw dropping moments, and good, hard racing!!!

Agree with the bold. If Sr. was able to drive AWAY from the person and was getting blocked --- well then you should expect the chrome horn. BigEars was not in a position to "drive away" from Jr. and is responsible for the mess. He should have done with Jr. what Mark Martin did with him at the end of the race. You suck if you pull those kind of moves instead of driving with class like Martin and the Burton brothers.

I'm not a Jr. fan but he should have been allowed to race until the end without getting wrecked. Bigears is an extremely talented driver but also a first class AzzClown. If he wins the championship it will be just like his brother did, he will not do it with honor. I actually think Kurt is a changed person and enjoy watching him race, shrub is a punk.

Shrub is the best thing to ever happen for Jeff Gordon. It's kinda like when Rusty Wallace screwed DW over, the fans stopped boo'n DW and started hating Wallace.

You guys can think what you want about Bigears but he had to take some pleasure in spinning the guy who replaced him on that team. He's a boogereatingmoron!

Here's the other exciting issue during the race. I think Waltrip probably didn't get the same treatment that a JJ, Jeff Gordon, Jr, Stewrat, or even Bigears would have recieved. Mikey may as well been a Roush driver last night.

I agree with much of what you say. The only exception is the hate for HMS.

For the record, I am a Ford fan. Obviously my like for the Mach. But I also drive a Lincoln MKZ. I cheer for the driver. They could be in a Dodge, Chevy, or a Ford it don't matter to me. However you put JJ or Gordon in a Toyota and that is where it ends for me. I'll curse any driver that drives a Toyota or any other foreign car in Nascar.

I like how humble Hamlin was about his finish. No blame to anyone at all. As far as that poll on who "deserved" the win, well Bowyer happened to be there at the finish so I'd say he deserved the win more than anyone. It sucked for Hamlin not to have gotten the win and I was pulling for Jr. but whoever crosses the finish line at the end wins period.

EXACTLY MY POINT ON JR. FANS. (not all of them but a great deal of them). There is now way in hell that Dale Jr. deserved to win that race more then Hamlin. Of course the polls favor Dale Jr. about 90% of the time.

As for the type of car they drive in NASCAR, I don't care what they drive, including Toyota. If they are a good clean driver without being a azzclown on or off the track, I have no reason to dislike them.

It sucks their driving Toyota's but I actually wanted Hamlin to win. He was totally blowing away the field for 95% of the race and he definitely deserved the win. I hope Stewart jumps from Gibbs and finds another team. Most people think he's a jerk, and he does some bonehead stuff sometimes, but I still like him as a driver, but I have no allegance to any driver since Jarrett jumped ship, then retired. I'm still waiting for some new meat Ford driver to move into the Cup series that I'm impressed with. Like a young Stewart, only driving a Ford.

I like this guy, he seems to be learning more every week. He's also from GA, drives a Ford, it's a Roush Ford, and he's at least a 2nd generation driver.
