Cool New owner from Southern KY

Hey guys, I've had my car for a minute but couldn't figure out why my account wasn't activated. Turns out that I just can't read, so I decided to read and got activated, so here it is!

2004 Mach 1 bought out on middle TN. It was totaled in 2011 and rebuilt in 2012, the driven until late 2015 when the then-owner bent a rod. It was sold to a used car lot in pieces and bought by a nice guy at a farm. He had the car in pieces intending to put it together for four years.

My fiancee and I split up about this time so I decided to do a ****-you purchase and bought the car in pieces from the guy and put it together. I am still finishing up college but she is coming right along. I took the engine I built out of my old 99 GT and put it in there, too.

How about some specs?

2004 Mach 1
Black IUP package
Build 4.6 WAP block, kellogg crank, Manley H beams, 8.5:1 pistons (Terminator bottom end essentially)
Eaton M112 with 2.93 upper stock lower
Long tubes and catless H
stock front wheels and 15x8 Race Stars on 28x10.5 MT Drag
MDA chin, side splitters, bumper aprons
Custom projector headlights with 5500k HIDs

I have a bazillion pictures of putting the car back together, too.

Glad to join the R-Code club and I am absolutely in love with the car. See you guys around!

edit: my attachments didn't seem to attach, I may have missed a step.

I had to downsize my photos about 70% each and them compress them to fit beneath that 244kb upper limit, but I figured it out!

As they should, I am less than 30 minutes from Hopkinsville! We park under the same clouds, I am sure.

Let me guess, Madisonville? Actually that’s more than 30 mins, unless you’re speeding.

Re: New owner from Southern KY

Russellville, actually. The other direction! The only terminated car in the county I believe, though I have seen a Terminator or two just south of the state line so I am definitely not alone in the area.

Ah, I haven’t been to Russellville in a while. It was the tobacco festival a few years ago; managed to place 1st in class in my Chevy.
Our last local Terminator was sold not terribly long ago. Though I’m sure there’s several in Clarksville. And I’m positive there’s some in BG.

Re: New owner from Southern KY

I saw a white terminator in BG maybe three years ago, I remember it like yesterday. I was parked at the Hardy's on the corner in my old GT and it roared by, I turned around fast enough to ID that rear fascia and then it was gone. Haven't seen another in BG since then though! Unless you count the NMRAs at Beech Bend lol

That’s cool, I love BG. Can’t wait to get my Mach going so I can go to the track over there. Think the IRS will be in by then.

Re: New owner from Southern KY

You going to the Somernites Cruise-In in Somerset, KY, on Aug 24? Lots of Mustangs there especially because that's the highlighted vehicle that weekend. There's a 50th anniversary Mach 1 display that will be there too.

You worked hard on that car!

I won't be going to the Somernights cruise in, but I will definitely be at the NMRAs in BG and Ford Fest with the Mach!

Re: New owner from Southern KY

As far as I was aware, they were doing the Intergalactic Ford Fest at the same time as the NMRA Finals / Swap Meet. Here is an event link I found with information on it!

New owner from Southern KY

Mustang club president stopped by my shop, and informed of some upcoming shows. I’d invite you to the car show next Saturday here in Hopkinsville if you want to come. I plan to go as long as the weather is good. Both of my 3V’s will attend the show.

Some more info, it’s the first one at the bigger location. We’re also expecting 20-30 mustangs to attend. The mustang club is cohosting it with the classic car club here.

Re: New owner from Southern KY

On the 17th? I will cross check that with my calendar at home and cross our fingers. Might drag my old man and his '67 out of the garage too if your group can accommodate a few more cars!

Yes the 17. The 67 is a Mustang? Coupe or fastback?
