2021 Mach 1
So. Saw a snippet on FB...touting HP and TQ numbers of 525 and 450 for the 2021. That, if true, would make me very happy to see. Not that I will probably be able to get one anyway without coughing up one of my existing cars, but...
I know the rumor mill will be quelled soon. But this is exciting to see. Especially after having the fortune to be driving the 2019. As good as this car is i can only imagine how good the 2021 could be... Great times to be a Mustang Fan

Re: 2021 Mach 1
Yeah...ain't it great?
They did break some unofficial news today that the 5.0 in the new Mach 1 is going to be good for 525hp! That's nuts! It's unofficial, but it'd be great if true!

No shaker would be a deal breaker for me.

Re: 2021 Mach 1
I tend to agree...
I think they can make the shaker work. but. also thinking 71-73 Naca ducts (if i spelled that correctly) ram air hood...might work well with this body style...there are already hood vents incorporated on the stock hoods now anyway...would not be difficult to make those functional... if it does not have a shaker...makes our 03-04 cars even that more unique...

Re: 2021 Mach 1
Shaker wouldn’t look right on the S550 body...car (hood) is too big!

Re: 2021 Mach 1
Believe me, I’m not anti-shaker, just never cared for the way the S197s looked with the CDC shaker kits on them. Perhaps if they made a Mach specific hood for the ‘21 model year (similar/along the lines of ours), I could see a shaker looking right at home on it!

Just posted the pic to show the comparison on size between the 69 and today. I agree, just like ours a dedicated hood would be necessary...

Re: 2021 Mach 1
As the old saying goes, “Just because you can doesn’t mean you should!” (S197) lol
The point I was trying to make in my previous post is, as long as it doesn’t look like an “after thought,” I’m sure it’ll look great and right at home!

Re: 2021 Mach 1
Part of what works so well on ours (IMO) is that massive bulge that the shaker sits in the middle of. Absent that bulge, the shaker just ends up looking like a pimple.

Ya, Im not really sure how well the shaker would work on this body style.

Re: 2021 Mach 1
Perhaps a bigger bulge and a bigger shaker scoop will work with the bigger hood.
Scoops are kinda like t*ts....the bigger the better. Big Ron |

Re: 2021 Mach 1
I've read global pedestrian impact standards prevents Ford from ever adding a shaker to future production Mustangs. Ford had to go global with selling the Mustang to justify keeping it around and had to meet the regs in order to do that. They could offer the new Mach for US sales only, but it's possible those same regs will be imposed here at some point as well. I want a shaker on the new Mustang but unless it's aftermarket I don't see it happening.

Re: 2021 Mach 1
I'm fairly certain that the Challenger has a shaker option package. There's a Trans Am conversion on the Camaro body that is shaker equipped. Other than that, I don't know of any.
Maybe there'll be a shaker option on the Mach E????

Re: 2021 Mach 1
I saw a factory shaker on a Challenger yesterday, but this car is not officially sold in Europe like the Mustang now is. Ford won't spend the extra $$$ to offer a factory shaker for the US market only.
