question about sound

so past few months i've been struggling and just putting it off but really want to diagnose the problem now so hoping for some advice.

so every now and then I'll get a loud popping nose/ buzzing, but when i kick the panel to the left of the dead pedal it will sometimes help it to go away, and every now and then if i push down on the carpetting just in front of the seat it will get the sound to go back to normal also, its usually some combinaiton of this. Is it just a loose cable or something that's causing this? or is there an amp or something behind that kick panel? how hard is it to remove the kick panel to be able to lift up the carpetting slightly? also it originally it started out with just the rear speakers cutting out completely, but then it shifted to this with the pop/buzzing sound on all speakers. OTher things that go on with this popping/buzzing sound is all bass cutting out and occasionally mids.

thanks in advance

Re: question about sound

Sounds like your speakers are blown. It could also be a bad ground.

It's most likely one of the harnesses right there. If you pull the lower left trim and pull the carpet back you will see the harnesses. I was getting it and just messed around with them, pushing them tighter and wiggling. So far so good, but when it comes back i'm going to tape them together tight.

Do a search you will find a lot of other with the same noise. Mine was rpm dependent.

Re: question about sound

yup know its been more time than just waiting for a weekend when it stopped raining but finally got around to fixing the problem. loose connection, just below the driver kick panel and behind the carpeting. the two audio connections that lie there had come off their clips and the connections loose. just re-secured them and put them back in their clip holes and the problem was fixed.
