Help with aftermarket stereo Mach460
Hi everybody I need some help. I am trying to upgrade my stereo. I already have an aftermarket pioneer stereo and am trying to upgrade to a better pioneer stereo and I can't get the rear speaker to get any bass out of them. I am upgrading from a pioneer fh-x820bs to a pioneer avh-x2800bs. Any help is appreciated.

Did you reuse the old harness adapter or get a new one? Is it an 03 or 04? I know in the Cobras the head units are different between the years. I imagine the Machs are similar.

Re: Help with aftermarket stereo Mach460
If the prior head unit worked and your using the same harness adapter you could possibly have something miswired. I've swapped the head unit out a couple times myself never experienced the rears not working.

Re: Help with aftermarket stereo Mach460
so you get Highs out of the rear but no bass? Or they aren't working at all?
I'd double check that wiring didn't change if you used the old harness. Then make sure all the sub stuff is off and that there isn't some kind of bass blocker setting

Re: Help with aftermarket stereo Mach460
Yeah I guess all the speakers sound flat to me. I re-used the harness adaptor and everything from before but since it's the same brand I figured it would be in the same place. I'll look at it and make sure it's all wired the same between the two models. Because no matter where If the rca is plugged in or not it doesn't make a difference in sound. I have the metra adaptor for the integrated subwoofer.
