How much would you pay for low mileage Mach
If this isn't the right place to post this question, I apologize upfront.
I came across 2 very low mileage Machs. One is a dealer selling 04 TR and the other is a private sale 03 DSG. Both have 5k miles +/-. I believe they are both all stock with maybe just aftermarket cat backs. What is the max you think one should pay? What potential problems could cars have from sitting around with limited use? Thanks! |

Re: How much would you pay for low mileage Mach
I paid 17K for mine last summer. It had 8700 miles on it and came with a K&N intake, Flowmasters welded in, and a Steeda tri-ax. It was on consignment through a dealer. It was the sales managers sons car. They originally had it listed for 18,500. I thought I got a good deal on it. It fit the bill. I wanted a low mileage, Azure Blue, and mostly stock. I played the angle of the loan. There is no way I could get a loan with putting 0 down for 18,500 for the car being a used 03. So I talked them down from that. (Even though I only took the loan out for 13K) Turns out thats the exact reason it had been on the lot soo long. No one could get a loan for it. I think the bank could only loan me up to 16K on it which put them in a spot.

Re: How much would you pay for low mileage Mach
$16,000 is the max I'd pay.
Depends how it was stored, If they started it every week or drove it around the block once a month. Or if they put 5,000 miles on it the first year they bought it and its been sitting every since.

Re: How much would you pay for low mileage Mach
My son and I bought 2 6700 milers this last fall. Paid $17,000 at a dealership a month apart. Both in great cond, one had a C&L cai & flowmaster catbak, the other stock. I was happy with each deal. Private party pay a bit less.

Re: How much would you pay for low mileage Mach
Good info, thanks!
Both are asking $22k. The private sale is testing the waters and I think he will be more reasonable as time goes by. If the dealer can't sell, would they send car to auction or just drop price? Any idea? |

Re: How much would you pay for low mileage Mach
I gave $18,900 for mine 3 1/2 years ago with 2700 miles on it. If I could get $16k out of mine with 13k miles on it I think I'd be lucky.

Re: How much would you pay for low mileage Mach
Thanks all!
Dealer around here came down $200 off their price of $22k! Good luck with that! Private owner is now asking $20k. I am not ready to buy just yet so I will wait them out. |

Re: How much would you pay for low mileage Mach
I paid $17k for mine in July 2009, had 23k miles and was completely stock. It now has 38k miles, eibach suspension, kooks long tube headers, kooks catted x pipe, black fr500s, nitto invos, etc. Don't want to turn this into a " what would you sell your car for" thread...but I put mine up for sale every 5 months or so for $21k to see if there are any takers honestly don't even think I would take that. There is something about a Mach 1. I get compliments every where I go on the sounds and looks of it...

Re: How much would you pay for low mileage Mach
I bought my 04 Screamn yellow in oct of 09 it had 13k on it and I paid 17K for it. It was 100% stock. Since then its gotten 31 spline axles, 4:10 gears, spec 3 clutch & flywheel, exhaust, h&r race springs, MM caster/camber plates, a P1-SC pushing 8lbs, engine dress up kit and interior dress up, along with FR-500's (silver)
It now has 23K miles on it And I have no idea what I would sell mine for??? I love my car just wish it was a built motor |
