Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
Mr Robot is phenomenal
this past week I've been engrossed in Halt and Catch Fire loosely based on Compaq in the early 80's cloning IBM's BIOS and building a better architecture. [rant]seems to be the only show worth watching on Netflix anymore[/rant] what else have you guys watched or are currently watching? doesn't necessarily have to be computer geek stuff. _ |

Re: Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
I've seen all the seasons of Inkmaster. The strange thing is I don't have any tattoo's or ever cared to get a tattoo, even in the military. I like the artwork, but think people have gone way overboard on getting sleaves and neck tattoo's.
I remember afew seasons ago a tattoo artist on that show actually had no tattoo's at all. They must have picked that guy just to make fun of him. He didn't last long.

Re: Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
A co-worker suggested "Dexter" as few weeks ago. Dexter is a blood splatter analyst for the Miami police department, but he is also a serial killer who hunts and kills other killers. I'm on season 6 now and I highly recommend it. Not computer related show, but good fun. A little dark and at times gruesome, but lots of twists and turn, and very likely characters. Check it out.

Re: Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
I watched Dexter and loved the first few seasons but couldnt bring myself to finish the series. If there were seasons I stopped toward the end of season 5

Re: Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
I was never into trying to watch Dexter or The Walking Dead. They just didn't seem appealing to me when they first started. I watched Dexter on Netflix and was hooked after the second episode LOL. I went ahead and tried TWD and got hooked on it too. Netflix is great for trying out a show. I think jamming through 2 or 3 episodes one after the other helps on certain shows.
Thanks for Halt and Catch Fire! I just watched like 4 episodes haha.

Re: Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
I think we may be waiting a while for something to top Breaking Bad, my favorite series by a mile. For comedy, The Big Bang Theory.

Re: Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
Breaking bad was good but I think it took me until sometime into season 2 to get really hooked on it (which may have been partly due to all the hype I was expecting something else at first I guess).
while its not on NetFlix the new season (season 20) of South Park is killing it

Re: Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
Both shows are hilariously crude. Archer is great.

Re: Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
Anything new on the bingeable show front?
Anybody watch The OA? It's kinda out there, but I like that lol. Travelers is another good one. Stranger Things is a good one, especially if you are of a certain age.

Re: Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
Sherlock was good, the earlier season better than the last.
Homeland is very good. My dad likes House of Cards.

Re: Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
The 24 Hour War about the 1960's Ford vs. Ferrari rivalry is on Amazon Video.
The Expanse is good. The first season of Dark Matter is good. Travelers turned out a lot better than I thought it would be before watching it. |

Re: Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
Just got the 24 War yesterday on DVD. Can't wait to check it out this weekend, hopefully. I've got the Cobra/ Ferrari War already on disc as well.

Re: Bingeable shows for computer geeks?
Not really a "show" but found a cool YouTube channel: TKO Resto, just a Mustang shop that does a bunch of SN95 work. Dude does a good job editing and sound and been binge-ing that the past few days.
Did binge Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy from my iPhone at work (3rd shift) and I swear that's why I gotta wear cheaters now! Jim |
