Fuel pump help - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

Alright I am getting ready to order a fuel pump for my Mach 1 it will be D1 ProCharged within the next month or two... Its stock internal motor so im not going to crazy till i can get a built motor.. Going to run about 9-10 pounds of boost. Whats a good/safe set-up for right now? I will be running 60lb injectors...

Has anyone ever delt with High Flow Performance... Its a 255lph its HFP-344 and its only $89

Or a buddy of mine says to go with a dual set up from Speedtweekerz... Dont understand why it says GM tho if its under 96-04 4.6 Mustang... Its a dual Walbro Kit for $219

GSS340's are not made for a returnless fuel system which is what that dual setup has

The hi flo returnless pump looks like a great option...check out the stickies in this fuel forum for more info one is titled "The Fuel Thread" which will lay out a plan for HP and fuel requirments. Based on what I've read, you should have plenty of fuel with a 255lph pump. But stay with returnless or you'll have to switch over the entire system in order to use a return style pump.

Alright see thats what i thought that those pumps are not the right pump for our cars cause the voltage and all.... So i guess ill go with that one from High Flow Perfomance... Thanks

are you going to be running a dual set up or just a single pump for now????

If you are keeping the stock fuel style system then you need to make sure that the pump you choose support PWM, Pulse-Width Modulation. The return style has a constant voltage and if you use those in this setup they will fail when the voltage to them drops low to 'control' the pressure.

Walbro historically did not have a 255lph pump that supported PWM, however they did come out with one in 2011. The model number is Walbro TU229HP.

The PWM is also the reason why so many people run the SVT Focus pump, it is 255lph as well.
