Water getting under Coil Cover

Has anyone had this experience, the plugs closet to the firewall get it the most. The passenger side is the worst, I hardly ever spray water on my engine. Rain splashes up and finds it way down onto the plugs, I have my coil cover tight, but it looks like the gaskets have never done there job.

Re: Water getting under Coil Cover

seal it with some RTV..........lots of threads about this. Most common is the passenger side 2 cyl closest to passenger compartment.

Re: Water getting under Coil Cover

Even Ford knew this was a problem because they sealed the grommet with RTV on initial installation of the cover.

Yes, you are correct, they should have figured out a better solution

Re: Water getting under Coil Cover

Yep, make sure all your COP's are good and seal the crap out of it with RTV. GM has the best set-up for COP ignition, but it's DARN EXPENSIVE to replace.
