Mecca Tune HID Head/Foglight kits.
Hi guys,
I just wanted to let you guys know that I was able to organize a group purchase for Mecca Tune HID kits again. You can get yourself a headlight kit, a foglight kit, or both. Before I continue let me add something about the foglight kits: No one, and I mean no one, makes foglight HID bulbs for Mustangs. I was able to irritate (haha) Mecca Tune enough to the point where they actually made a request for the factory to make an HID bulb for our fogs. After much haggling, the factory finally approved the request. With that said, after this group purchase is done, you will be in a very exclusive club. The reason for this is that (currently) the factory will only produce a certain number of bulbs and then it is over. I will keep you guys updated on this. Anyway, let's get down to the details: The group purchase price will be a special low price of $295 with s/h included. You will not find an HID kit of comparable quality and ease of installation for anywhere near the same price (if at all). That's $295 each by the way, not both. $295 for a headlight kit and $295 for a foglight kit. You have the option of choosing from one of three different color temperatures: 6500K (white with a hint of blue), 8300K (blue with a hint of white), and 12000K (violet). Bulb sizes include: 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007, 899, H1, H3, H4, and H7. Size details: Mustang 87-93 LOW: 9004 HIGH: * FOG: H3 Mustang 94-04 LOW: 9007 HIGH: * FOG: 899 Notes: * The bulb listed in the low beam column is a dual filament bulb that contains both the low and high beam. If you are not sure of your bulb size you may check at the following link to verify: http://www.piaa.com/BulbApplications.php Group Purchase link deleted by Moderator If you guys have any questions you can post them here and I will try to answer as quickly and as accurately as possible. Or, you can email Mecca Tune at the email address they provided in the group purchase page. The group purchase will last for approximately three months with shipping due at one month intervals. Please see the group purchase page for details. Any of you that have already purchased the kit in one of the previous group purchases please feel free add your two cents. Thanks for listening guys, Dajmell PS. I will be posting pics and a video of my install and the lights in action as soon as I can.

Oh no Dajmell, not you again! You're always tempting me w/ your damned HIDs!
Anyways, I'll be ordering a set of fogs for my Cobra to go along w/ my headlights. They're 9005s, right? |

Headlights are 9007. Foglights I am unsure. They should be the 899 bulb. I doubt Ford would make two different bulbs for each car. If the base looks like this it is an 899 bulb:

Headlight kit pictures:
Picture above: That yellow tinge on the bottom is the light emitted from the stock foglights (which is not far off from the yellow tinge produced by the stock headlights). Picture above: Crappy pic but you get an idea of what it will look like. Foglight kit pictures: My kit is the 6500K one. Better pictures and a video to come. There are also more pictures on my site if you guys wanna check them out.

4500+ hours.
That's what these HID bulbs are rated for. EDIT: Replacement for the bulbs are available for the 9007 (still working on getting a steady supply for the 880-899s). The price is probably less than $100. But for that you would need to contact Henry at the email he provides on the group purchase page.

I received my kit today with zero instructions and one of the lights had the top post broken off of it. I didn't realize that the post was broken until I had plugged it in and the light flickered for a second and then buzzed really hard and went out. When I pulled it out I saw the broken post.
Is there anyway you can get ahold of someone to get me a new bulb?

I am just checking for an update. Did everything go ok with the production? Are they shipping this week?

I got an email from the vendor and he says that they checked the bulbs before shipping, so now I have to file a claim with UPS. If UPS doesn't come through I'm screwed and these bulbs are 85$ each. I really this works out 'cause if I have to buy another bulb I'm going to be extremely pissed.
