Re: My 03 DSG build thread

New best last night, I got it too hook once and cut a 1.7 60' but got excited and missed second.
After that the track didn't want to hold it.

Car looks awesome!! You'll be high 11's-12.0's once you hook with that mph. What size MT radials are you running? They look like 275/60 but a bit wider. 325/50 maybe? 15x10 or 15x8? Fills the wheelwell perfect.

Re: My 03 DSG build thread

Looks great! How about some details on your build? What kind of supercharger do you have in there? What PSI are you running in your tires?

Re: My 03 DSG build thread

The pictures are from when I had 325/50 on a 15x10. Switched a couple of weeks ago to 295/55 little less rubbing issues with them.

It's the stock eaton with the stock pulley running 8psi.

I tried different pressures that night with the tires. That run I was at 12psi.
When I cut the 1.7 I was alittle under 20psi but that was also when the track was in better shape.

DA was around 3500' that night which is pretty good for around here.

Re: My 03 DSG build thread

Just got done installing.

Still have sub-frame connectors to install.
Next alignment and new tires for the front then I should be able to hit the track again.
Really want to put slicks on it but I don't think that will happen till next year.

Re: My 03 DSG build thread

Thats great. what exactly is needed for the T56 swap? The T56, trans brace, bell housing, u joint for the driveshaft? I am looking into this. Where did you buy everything for the swap and how much did it all run? I hear you have to install a solenoid for reverse to work.

I'm running a McLeod bell housing (not recommend), I would look at a Lakewood or a stock bell housing if you can.

I was lucky and found a crossmember on svtperformance cheap.
I recently changed it out for a energy suspension mount.

Reverse is currently wired to a toggle switch.
I'm going to rewire it to the brakes this winter.

I have the magnum so I was able to reuse driveshaft and yoke. Did have to shorten it a bit.
I know the yoke for a 3650 won't work with a standard t56.

Besides the cost of the trans I have less than $500 in to it.

Re: My 03 DSG build thread

Had a local teenager approach me about doing a photo shoot of my Mach.
Here’s the video.
