Removed Shaker drip tray hood surround
After cleaning up the shaker hood scoop I thought it might look cool without the rubber trim drip tray. So I found some weather stripping. Pealed off the foamy side and used the textured trim to seal the two piece scoop together. I like it and allows heat to ecape. I don’t drive the Mach much any more and for sure not on rainy days. I accually notice the Shaker move more! The engine bay does look different now but clean. I always like the Cobra with hood vents now the Mach has heat extracting hood vents built in.

Nice, looks neat, great job, I had to gut and chop mine to fit over whipple, with hood close looks bone stock, that looks trick what you did.

I like it too. Got any shots from further back?
Like Larry, mine has been gutted for the supercharger, but I retained the drip tray and drain hose for washing. Nice way to cool the charger and let that whine out! Looks stock unless you are really paying attention and then you can see the top of the eaton if you look closely.

Re: Removed Shaker drip tray hood surround
Hey thanks guys,
I really like how it cleans up the engine bay and shows off the aluminum motor. Also the intake, throttle bottle and function of scoop. I have replaced the upper lid cover on the intake with one from a 99 Cobra. It’s powdercoated and has the inbossed Cobra metal plaque. Now that it’s more visible along with the intake spacer I can easly point out the welded intake from being ported. I like the small details, I know it’s not a Cobra but the motor shares the same platform. Many people still think it’s a GT with a package, which it was on paper (?) but with a 4V motor and specific parts. How’s this picture?

Re: Removed Shaker drip tray hood surround
I like it but how about a close hood further back 3/4 angle photo! Haha! I just want to see if it's obviously showing the engine from standing head height. Also are you not worried about the water when washing her?

I really do like how it cleans up and reveals more under the hood.

Re: Removed Shaker drip tray hood surround
This shaker is by far my favorite.
A must if Whippling a Mach! I want to one day fabricate a top lid rear throttle body with K&N filter inserted like this one from BLACKEND. Maybe Year One could share the work with me??? Or I’ll have to ask Chip Foose for the inside scoop (puny).
