Got The K&N CARB Sticker But why the **** did I get a ticket??? - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

Okay, so I did get my CARB sticker and I am like stoked with K&N for getting it to me so I can now not worry about the aircharger. Some of you may remember that I got a fix-it ticket for this thing like 2 years ago - had to take it off, go to the state referee, and THEN go to court to get the ticket dismissed, after paying some bogus admin fees.

So, I am just curious if any of you bought the old unit and it just so happened to come with a CARB sticker. I am just unclear as to why the sticker never came with it in the first place. And do those of you who have the C&L or JLT, did they come with those stickers?

Yeah

- the cop was cool and now we are like friends but he specifically asked where the CARB sticker was and of course I didn't have it at that time

but oh well, at least now I don't have to worry about that anymore

- maybe I should just put the sticker on the back of my license plate to cover all of my mods :LAUGH:

Oh, I should also add that I believe I initially got pulled over for my blacked out tail lights and then the officer went fishing from there

hehehe, do like me, just move out from Kalifornia

btw, don't sell the mach and tell your mach1registry friends, you would get a lot of bad reputation, hopefully i'll get paid in the future just because of this

also wondering about the poor guy who bought my mach1

When it first came out, it had not completed the CARB testing. Since they wanted to hit the market with it, they sold it under the Aircharger line which is for off-road use only. When it became CARB certified, they moved it to their Filtercharger line which is 50-state legal. That's why you didn't have a CARB sticker and why you got a ticket.

Thanks for that info. I just thought that if a part is produced without certification then it can never be certified

- never mind, I am just being a bone head. I am just glad I have it now :THUMBSUP:
