Re: Redlinegoods.com Leather steering wheel

Let's see the installed pics. I'll be very surprised if the color matches up 100%, but I hope it does.

oooooooo. They have alcantara and possibly suede(faux-alcantara?) options as well! First time I've seen that for anything but 05+.

Re: Redlinegoods.com Leather steering wheel

I bought shift and Ebrake boots from them for my last car. Their work is top notch. I just cant decide what boot materials to get for the Mach. They will send you samples of the materials for a small fee so you can make sure it matches. I think they knock the price of the samples off then when you order the item then. I was thinking about quadruple stitiching for the boots with medium blue for the 2 inside ones and silver for the outside 2. Also thought about a sliver stripe like the seat has for both.

Re: Redlinegoods.com Leather steering wheel

I recently bought a set of shift and e-brake boots from them, I went with black leather and charcoal stitching. Didn't want anything too fancy and black looks good with the charcoal interior. If their steering wheel covers are anywhere near as good quality as their boots, you'll be pleased. The leather is sooo much better than that stock vinyl crap.

Re: Redlinegoods.com Leather steering wheel

I'm at work right now but I'll try to get some pics when I get home. both my cameras kind of suck at close ups but I'll try to capture how great the real leather is. Now that I think about it I might have some install pics

Re: Redlinegoods.com Leather steering wheel

sorry it took so long, apparently I never took pictures after I installed these boots, had to take some. ugh, remind me to clean the car first before taking pics again. >_<

forgot to mention I also got the armrest cover with the extra padding, it's really great actually. in case you're wondering, the shifter is an MGW silver handle. the shift boot is the stock measurement, but it still fits tight enough to the shifter, so you don't need to get a custom cut boot. looking forward to seeing how the steering wheel cover looks, might have to get one as well.

The black seems to match the seats pretty well I guess. I was gonna get charcoal but from your pics they look close. The armrest has elastic stitched into it and it just slides over the stock one correct?

Re: Redlinegoods.com Leather steering wheel

Yes, but for a much better fit I unscrewed the top piece from the bottom and wedged the elastic in between, so the leather is held nice and tight over it instead of baggy and loose.
