Finally after 7 yrs. Torch Red '04

About 7 years ago I joined this forum looking for a Mach 1 (hence the user name). I never got one then. Life got in the way as it usually does...something about kids and a house and other boring responsible adult stuff.

Today, I am happy to say I am "this close" to being in possession of my own Mach 1. It's a '04 Torch Red automatic with 59K miles. Bone stock except for a Borla exhaust. I actually bought it off eBay, which I've never done, so I was a nervous anxious wreck since sending the money. I'm only slightly relieved now that its on a truck heading down from MI to TX. Hopefully everything is as the seller said it is.

Also, it's serial 7144 out of 7182. Were the serials sequential, making this one of the last Mach 1's built?

Heck yeah. Congratulations! The best feeling in the world is when you get to drive it for the first time. I'll remember that feeling forever! Welcome, sort of.

Welcome and congrats! Yes, you have one of the last Mach 1's ever built.

Mine is #6956 and was built the day before yours (4/15/04). Looking at how many can be built in one day, yours may have even been built on the last day of production.

Thanks everyone! I got the car Saturday and it was just as the seller described. Hoping to get it titled today or tomorrow and then maybe get some better pics

It sure picked up a s***load of bugs on the trip down...even inside! Maybe covered transport would've been worth it.

Unless it's a beater car covered transport is always worth it. Cost me $1000 to ship my old 350z from FL to CA but it sure was clean.

Yeah but that's what I have kids for. For once they actually wanted to help wash a car. And I found 2 pennies!!

Too bad TX DMV is being a PITA!! The title shows a lien. The lien's been relieved and I have paperwork from the bank confirming that, but the DMV wants an original copy
