Would you pull the trigger!

This Jan. at Mecums auction in Kissimmee Florida, they will be auctioning off the real 1968 Mustang Fastback from the movie Bullitt. The car is definitely a piece of American History with world wide appeal. So I ask the question, who ever buys this car, leave it in its present condition, or restore it to new! I honestly can't make a decision.

Re: Would you pull the trigger!

Since both of the cars used in the film are out in the wild now, and the other car was in such sorry condition that's its' needed a full restoration, I think this one should be left as is since it doesn't need that amount of work to be driven and enjoyed to some degree.

Re: Would you pull the trigger!

I would leave it in its present condition.

But recalling the story now, the resurfacing of this car seemed really sketchy to me... It was hidden away for something like 30 years and suddenly the owner who never wanted to sell it before, or even come out in public for that matter, wants to auction it for millions of dollars.
I don't recall any real evidence it was actually in the movie other than a few things like weld marks here and there that match where cameras were allegedly mounted.

The other car was even worse... It was like, "Oh! We found this parted out 1968 DHG Mustang chassis down in Mexico with a VIN plate that matches the Bullitt car." Instant gold.
