That is another reason that I went with my Borla Stinger cat back. The rolled tips look so good. It took me a few weeks to get used to how large in diameter the tips were, but I guess that's the trend with cat back's now.

I have completely brought my engine bay back to OEM, and you are right! If not for E-Bay and members on the Reg, I would not have found what I was looking for. The air silencer so many of us threw away isn't even on the exploded view of parts at the Ford Parts counter! I do still have an after market CAT back, and although I love the sound. I do miss the Factory rolled tips and that it was Factory throughout!
I went with the MRT rolled tips - they look like stock but bigger. I had the tips cut off my steed catback so I could put them on

I seem to be #4 on the list, and probably the highest numbered active member.

Or maybe I'm just a post whore.

Actually You really are #1. That makes me think if all our positions would be different. A lot of these people are no longer here?

Hey Big Ron!

I had this issue with a truck tire a couple of years ago and found out that Juan down at the "cultural" tire shop doesn't care how old tires are.
But he only works for cash payment.

I was out at the Warehouse (Wheel Replicas) couple weeks back and the SSS cat back kits are still moving. Jeff showed me some powder coated tips for the 05-up axle-backs. Asked if he could bring in some for my cat-back. He said he could.
Black powder coated 3.5” rolled would look good...
Still have the polished ones on the car though...

You are also the one of the oldest in tenure as you are 1 of 9 that registered on the founding date of 8-16-2002 started by the founder "03mach1". That was 7 months before I even knew about the Mach 1.

August 16 is also the day that Elvis Presley, Babe Ruth, Aretha Franklin, Peter Fonda, and Bela Lugosi died although NOT in the same year.

Re: One is the lonliest Number!

Oddly enough, those of us original members actually got on board in June of that year . A complete reset/reboot of the overloaded server caused everything to get the later date assigned. This was a busy place in 2002, and for many years after.

Wow, 2002. I did not join until 2005 but had our Mach since Sep. 2003.

Here's a taste of our early fun and conversations before the cars were built, or delivered.

Man I am glad we did not deal with all that, just dealing with the Stealership mark ups for about 9 months before we bought!

Re: One is the lonliest Number!

This site has a wealth of information either from "old" posts or "old" members. I still learn something about our cars even 16 - 17 years later not counting the people I know or have met.

Re: One is the lonliest Number!

I'm wondering if we'll see an uptick in a few months when the new Mach 1 gets unveiled...wait, did I just say that?
I didn't say that. I don't know anything about it. Nothing new to see here, just keep moving along...
