Intake spacer effect on shaker height - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

With an MMR 1/2" spacer does the hood seal get pretty tight? I used to run a 3/8" spacer on my other Mach and I slotted the rear shaker bracket holes to bring the shaker back close to the stock height. But with a 1/2" spacer I don't think there's enough room to fully compensate. I figure I'll bring it down as mush as possible and hopefully the seal doesn't have much stress on it after that.

Or space the k-member down, LOL.

Any thoughts or opinions?
