painted hood scoop fins

I painted my hood scoop fins silver. what you all think.

Put some mothers back to black on that shaker.

did not think it would look good in orange. seen a 70 model with it in silver thought it look good.

Did that to ours and I think it looks great! You do need to put some shine on that Shaker.

What paint did you use? Did you mask? or just free hand it with a brush?

Masked it off and sprayed it with aluminum engine paint.

Actually, quite a few people did that. some just sanded the black off and polished the fins. or stripped it and polished the entire shaker.

I'd treat it like I do the Cobra Jet badges. Not something I'd do, but it does'nt look bad. Shaker looks faded to me, too.
