Thanks.
Roy shipped the intake today, so with any luck, in a week it will run and drive.
I have some premium fuel in the tank.
Also stuff from Joe (Itlrun) is on the way.

BTW: 19k hits on this thread. Unreal.

Re: New Project "R" thread

Just laid the intake onto the motor.
It's not bolted down yet.
Everything looks fantastic, no clearance issues that I can see.
All wiring hooks right up as designed.
Great job Roy!!! :ORANGE:

BTW: The car is still for sale.
Should fire it up in the next few days or so.
I'm sorry I can't be there to see it fire up, but I cannot get out a prior engagement...Good luck

Thanks, Roy did the first design, and I modded it,
so he could fab it in aluminum.
I was hoping there would be a market for this kit,
as it does literally bolt in, but one never knows.

I was afraid if I put the Aussie upper in with it something would get damaged.
I'll get it shipped out by the end of the week.

Re: New Project "R" thread

So far, I got the remaining P/S hoses mounted and system bled.
Lower intake is bolted down w/injectors plugged in, etc.
I have been doing small but important things on the upper intake
to get it reay to run.
I have to say, Reg. member ROY did a great job,
and did a few ingenious things I hadn't thought of relating to the IAC channel
inside the upper intake.
Everything fits perfectly so far.
MAYBE this weekend I can fire it up.
If I do, I will try and take / post a vid.
Again, a HUGE thanks to Roy for a truly fantastic job on the upper. :ORANGE:
I am still waiting for some radiator hoses to arrive though.

Re: New Project "R" thread

Spent the afternoon doing little picky stuff.
Alternator bracket and coolant crossover bolted down.
Working on final fitment of upper onto lower,
and looking at every nook and cranny.
So far so good.
Trying to keep a methodical work ethic going,
even though I am sooooo close to getting it fired up.
I step back and look at this car and the way everything fits,
and it seems like I prepared the car for this swap pretty well.

Re: New Project "R" thread

I was almost ready to fire the car,
but I have a small injector leak.
Have to work on the hold down for the rail.
Other than that, she's about ready.
20k hits on this thread......

Re: New Project "R" thread

Well, the car fired right up as soon as I hit the key.
BAM!
Idles fine.

I have a few minor issues I have to take care of,
and I am hoping I can handle some or all of them tomorrow.
I still cannot get the engine hot or drive it,
as I am STILL waiting for some radiator hoses to arrive.
If I can, I'll post a vid tomorrow, but being the only one here,
I may not be able to.
Still, I am pretty happy, starting with a body in white,
and the car started right up and idled. :HOPPY:
