Changing out the Gauge Cluster

I'm thinking about replacing my gauge cluster, if I change out the circuit board, will I have any problems with starting the car, or any other issues.

Thanks,

Re: Changing out the Gauge Cluster

on my 2001 mustang i took it out cuz i was putting white face gauges in. i think i had to move my car while i had it out and it started up just fine, but that was like 7 years ago, so the pictures isn't clear for sure, but i believe you can.

Thanks,
If you change the circuit board the miles will be off and it will not start unless it is re-programed by ford or a key maker. How ever you can put your old board into the new cluster

Correct, I will put the old stock circuit board on the new Gauge Cluster.

Then everything will stay the same and it will start but if your going to use the cobra cluster with the boost gauge you can not use your board because the boost gauge has the gauge nipple going thru the board and the stock gauge has no place for it to go thru
