Re: R.I.P. Frank McKnight - You Will Be Missed
For those of you who don't know Frank, he was originally listed by Dave Wagner as a co-founder of the Mach 1 Registry, mostly because of his intense enthusiasm for the then "new" Mach 1 and Mustangs in general. His personality was distinctive, in spite of the physical challenges he faced and most recently, his bout with cancer.
He was equally, if not more, enthusiastic about his association with Hooters Restaurants, where he was generally seen in the company of the waitresses. Many who knew him joked that he had stock in the company. Just a sad loss...

Re: R.I.P. Frank McKnight - You Will Be Missed
My heart is heavy from the news this afternoon of the loss of Frank McKnight .
Frank, You were one of a kind. You will be missed my friend. Thank you for making me smile so many countless times over the years! I'm truly sorry that I was not able to come and see you this past month. I guess it was for the better though. I can remember you as when I first met you with that devilish grin and smiling face. I'm sure glad to have known you Frank. |

Re: R.I.P. Frank McKnight - You Will Be Missed
I am stunned and saddened deeply by this news. I'm certianly in on whatever we can do. He was absolutely one of the most notable people here and oen that once you met him, you were glad you did. You didn't forget him, and his posts of photos of himself with Hooters girls in the hottie thread were somethign to look forward to.
Godspeed Frank.

Re: R.I.P. Frank McKnight - You Will Be Missed
From a posting by one of the people who had been in contact with family -
"I have been in contact w/ Frank's sister - there will not be a memorial service at this time - they are contemplating having a Memorial Car Show in the future with proceeds to be given to American Cancer Society. In the meantime, my suggestion to all of Frank's friends is to take a cruise in your Mustang, go to a car show, stop at Hooters have some wings, and root for the Steelers sometime during football season. Embrace life, smile like Frankie, and say a prayer for him and his family. RIP Frankie."

Re: R.I.P. Frank McKnight - You Will Be Missed
My suggestion for any donation would be to perhaps have a donation to the American Cancer Society.

Re: R.I.P. Frank McKnight - You Will Be Missed
Frank often drove out to the Cincinnati, OH, area because he had family who lived here. It would generally take him a couple of hours to make it to some of the Hooters locations from West Virginia.
One of his many Mustangs along the way...

Wow, sorry to hear this. He's been very active since I joined about a year and a half ago. Noticed he hasn't been posting as much lately. RIP Frank.
My condolences to those who knew him well. I thought of him on here as "the Hooters Guy".
