Re: Die -cast cars

Made 'em up even before I got my car. Johnny Lightning had a set of build them yourself cars, and this was the Mustang GT kit. It included everything for one coupe and one conv., hence the never made Mach 1 ragtop. I made the spoilers, shakers and hood blister on the red car out of balsa wood. I'd like to find another kit and try my hand at doing a little better job, but they've been out of production for a number of years.

I see said the blind man, very cool. I thought they might be the ones Radio Shack sold.

Re: Die -cast cars

No, the Zip Zaps (of which I never did get a red one, only orange) are larger and proportioned differently. I used those same type kits to make up my own fake White Lightning '68 Shelby GT, Green Hornet Black Beauty and Viper GTS. I don't sell those, so I'm not trying to scam anyone, they're just for my own personal pleasure. I am currently selling a Musclecars set on eBay right now with a (real) '69 Camaro White Lightning in it. (I need the room!)

PS, Glad you liked the pictures in the gallery

Re: Die -cast cars

Here's a link to the Ferrari French Quarter Classic photo gallery that I attended (don't worry, there's no pics of me) this past year. They haven't posted any info on this years event, but be assured...I will attend!
Enjoy the pics!

Gotta be the gayest Diecast I've ever seen! What's with the Flagass paint scheme?

One of the reasons I bought it was because the place that I bought it from donates a certain % of the sales of their "U.S. related merchandise" to help the soldiers across seas. Like getting them supplies and food and stuff. Plus, it's something different that I have never seen before.

Re: Die -cast cars

Well...I could build a 1:8 scale garage!
I can't believe the detail on this sucker. I do have a 1:12 Viper RT-10 and it comes nowhere close to this thing in quality or detail.
