Like them but can't own them!
I don't know if others feel this way or not, maybe I am to anal. There are a lot of really nice Floor Mats for Mustangs made of carpet. I hate that every time you drive your car there is lint and debris left stuck in the fiber. They always look messy and if not washed all the time they mat up. I have rubber in all our vehicles and they are easy to vacuum and wipe down. Your thoughts!

Re: Like them but can't own them!
my DD truck has weather techs. Ive got 3 sets of carpeted mats for the mustang - 2 Ford Racing ones (they sent 2 sets by mistake, said to just keep em) and a set of the rare Mach 1 embroidered ones that only come out on special occasions

Re: Like them but can't own them!
Carpet always seems to gather up pieces of dead grass. I don't even walk through grass or get into the car with dirty shoes but it still ends up on the floor mats. Figure that out..
I have two sets. The rare CDC mats that stay in the car normally and the cheaper embroidered ones from AM that I use when the car goes into the shop or when I expect a passenger (not often). Although I use the CDC the most, I keep them as cherry as possible by never driving the car in the rain which means my feet are always clean and dry when I get in. I prefer the look of carpet, but if I had to drive the car in inclement weather, the rubberized would be best. I'd probably get the weather tech ones.

Re: Like them but can't own them!
I like the CDC Mach 1 embroidered mats (Mach 1 is parallel with the doors). I can't stand rubber mats or WeatherTech mats. Those are nice for trucks, SUV's, and beaters lol. I have a Dewalt cordless vac I bought specifically for specifically satisfying any OCD thoughts with the carpet and mats that I have.
I should buy a newer set for the Mach to save the CDC mats, but I don't even go to shows anymore, so I suppose it's really unnecessary. If I ever see a decent set for sale, I'll probably try to buy them. I really like them better than any other set I've seen out there that are Mach specific.

Re: Like them but can't own them!
i was under the impression that all of the above is the purpose of the floor mat? for me, it's just there to protect the carpet on a 15 year old mustang. i'm pretty sure mine say Mach 1 on them but i couldn't tell you if they are some special mat or not...it's just there to put my feet on when i drive. i don't think that i would even enjoy driving the car if i worried that much about **** like floormats.

Re: Like them but can't own them!
Have Weather Tech liners in all 3 of the cars.
Not impressed with the fit on the GT, but...trying to keep that one as new as I can as long as I can LOL. Mach has a set of their universal ones, that you trim to fit. they are ok, but I need new carpet in the Mach anyway since the little clip that holds the factory floor mats, ripped out a few years back leaving a nice hole. I do like the trunk liners thought. especially in the GT because I have to drive around with a full size spare back there (as we previously discussed) and it allows me to not destroy the cargo compartment of the new car... Want a set of Mach1 mats for shows and such, if i ever get time to go to any...
