DiabloSport Predator tune.

That's a pretty generous dyno.

It's from a 2016 DynoCom 6000. Not sure what you mean by generous. Is there something wrong with a DynoCom dyno?

I'm just saying with those simple mods your dyno numbers should be right around 300rwhp/310rwtq. If you had long tube headers I could see the 322rwhp. The 349rwtq is whacky.

You see the dyno report right?

It was the best of 4 pulls. HP varied from 320, 318, 312. T stayed above 340. The best was the second pull.

Perhaps you're mistaken. I've noticed folks are quick to right off the Predator, and admit they're a pain to work with, but the results speak for themselves. I was actually hoping for better HP, but it's just a number, the car is quick.

A bone stock Mach is 280rwhp at best in stock form. You're not gonna get over 40rwhp from a midpipe, catback and tune. You can get a dyno to spit out whatever numbers you want depending on how it's setup. It's just whack numbers, but whatever.

Thunder is speaking the truth!

FWIW my stock Mach with flow masters in place of the stock muffler only put down 268 on a mustang dyno

Exactly. Mine was 274whp with a drop-in air filter and Flowmasters. That dyno operator is out to make friends.

Very happy dyno. That or it was done with a negative DA and the numbers were not corrected. Put it on a dynojet with an SAE correction if you want the real numbers.

Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1

I know butt dynos lie, but ain't noooooo way my intake/full exhaust car is 320+whp lol. My catback 6.0 GTO made SAE 340-345whp on 3 back to back runs, and other than the violent 1st gear with 4.10's I have I still don't think it would pull on the GTO. Maybe it's the illusion from the power falling off over 6k rpm's, but I'm honestly a bit disappointed. I figure the only way to solve that without getting spending serious money is a ported intake/98 Cobra cams.

Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1

I haven't put my Mach on a dyno yet.

But the 2V GT cars almost always made 220-225 stock. Mine with CAI, TB, underdrive pullies, exhaust, and 3.73 gears made 260 on a Mustang brand dyno which is notorious for reading lower than other brands. That's a nearly 40 horsepower increase with very simple bolt-ons and a tune.

I have been told by the same dyno operator that Mach 1 cars generally are very well tuned from the factory and don't pick up the same kind of numbers as the GT cars do from bolt-ons and tunes. He said the biggest N/A gains he's ever seen in his shop was a guy who did very specific cams and got 50 HP on the dyno from those.
