Re: Terrible fuel mileage question
Kyle,
You installed a canned tune? ..and then adjusted the idle rpm and reduced the fuel at WOT? Lemme know if I understood this correctly.

-Pulled 6% of fuel at WOT to bring the a/f to 12.8-13.0 at 6500 in 4th (verified by Innovate wideband in stock rear 02 location. -On timing I added 4* at 0-2000 2* at 2000-4000 and 1* at 4000-8000 ( I know it doesn't rev that high, but that was the parameters.) I don't have anyone to ride shotgun, so I don't have a datalogged total timing number in 4th at 6500rpm WOT. I'm assuming its around 20* Other then that I haven't done anything else. |

IDK man....could easily just be teh fun part. Oh, and could you clarify the A/F on teh wideband. YOu mentioned high 11s, low 12s on SVTP, but on here you mentioned a point higher. Might want to double check that just to be sure, especially since you fattened up a SCT tune, which have a rep of being on the fat side already. Just a suggestion.

Re: Terrible fuel mileage question
Kyle,
When I installed my predator's canned tune, I went through a whole tank of gas in under 140 miles. Canned tunes are a no-no. This is what I recommend: Yank canned tune, unplug battery to reset the ECU's KAM and the Adaptive Control System settings. Drive car moderately for a while before you rag on her. This is in order to go through the drive cycle learning process. When that is done, rag on her, drive daily for however many days and see what the gas mileage yields. When/if you can afford it, go here: http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...ecialists-234/ (Amazon tuning solutions) Datalog your car driving normal and with a WOT run, send them the datalog files, they will analyze them and write you a tune and e-mail it to you, download into your tuner and upload to your ECU. Next, do another datalog, send files to them, they adjust the original tune, and they send you any updates. The cost of the tune along with lifetime updates for as long as you own your car is just a mere $175 and means that you can add mods to your car, datalog them and email them over and they'll redo the tune for you at no extra cost. Real world driving conditions are what your tune will be made from and not a blast of WOT on the rollers. Ken
