smoked headlights

I'm thinking about getting some of those smoked headlights from AM that don't have the yellow corners like the stockers does anyone have any pics with these with DSG preferably but any really will do. Just trying to see if it's worth the 140 cause I've been wanting to get some for a while anyways and now that they're on sale I think would be the best time to get em. Thanks!

Re: smoked headlights

Well that sucks. I didn't realize they were much darker just thought they didn't have the yellow corners.

Re: smoked headlights

there are headlights on ebay that just have a "black" background with clear lenses. it makes them look smoked and you still get your stock visibility. you may have to dig through ebay but they are there.
here are how mine looked...

Re: smoked headlights

Have you considered these headlights from stangmods?

http://www.stangmods.com/99-04-Musta...rs-p/00074.htm

I am considering on getting a set but would like to hear some peoples views on them, as they are smoked but not to dark and have the clear corners as well.

Re: smoked headlights

Those from stang mods are 200 dollars! I don't think I can justify that yet.

TxMach do you need HIDs with those to see at night with them? I hate ordering stuff off ebay it's just so sketchy.

i ended up using HID's the reason it rains alot in WA state and when it rain i couldn't see, also after i lost my left eye it seem like i didn't see as good at night any more. so the HID's helped out. i got a killer deal on em though from a member on here,

i think it will just be trial on if you need em or not

when its dry i'm good to go

Re: smoked headlights

Anyone had any issues wit AM lights fogging up? Or know of anyone who has? I would like to pick up a set but I'm undecided since a few months ago I picked up a set locally from a shop which claimed it was the same manufacturer as AM's, I went through 3 sets and they all fogged up.

Did you seal them up w/ RTV after you got them in the mail?

I sealed the third set but it still fogged up, I bought them locally so no shipping was involved.

i wanted to get smoked headlights from AM, but these look really nice and are so much more CHEAPER, how much did it cost you for the full set up of the smoked headlights and HID kit?

my eyes are fine, but i still have problems seeing at night, so HID kit is a must.
