Time for Dynotune
So taking my 5.3 BB/S to the dyno within the next week. Mods are:
106400 comp cams Ported heads with 1mm oversize valves 14:1 compression 110 race fuel PSRI All the normal bolt ons except FACTORY exhaust all the way back.... Few questions: I tuned it myself and the timing and fuel trims and MAF Transfer function all look good. Anything I should pay attention to? Is 110 Enough octane to run 21 degrees of timing with this much compression? Any guesses on horsepower? I'm guessing around 400 but hoping for more. It is an auto so I'm not expecting a ton.

Need to convert it to e85! Is it the leaded 110? Stoich on leaded 110 is the closed to running pump gas. How'd you get the compression that high?

Re: Time for Dynotune
It's leaded 110. Local station sells it.
Plan is to tune in race fuel first, then come back and tune on e85. I need to fill my 55 gallon drum with e85 before I can mess with it. Domed pistons. Plus the stroker and big bore both raise compression.

Won't the leaded kill the O2 sensors?

Re: Time for Dynotune
Eventually yes. Just tuning it on that for a backup and confirmation of tune.
Once done, it will be E85 full time. It's not a street car so I'm not super worried. If I put it back on the street, i'll come up with a different option.

Re: Time for Dynotune
Dyno got booked a little too late.
Now on vacation for a week so waiting until I get back. I had an overheating issue so need to address that first as well. There is always something.

Re: Time for Dynotune
So then why not tune it on E85? Won't that have as much detonation resistance as the race gas? I'm not trying to be a jerk. Just curious.
