Valvoline synthetic 75w-140 plus Ford friction modifier?
I will soon be changing the gear oil in my '03. After searching on the subject, I can't seem to get a straight answer on whether or not Valvoline synthetic gear oil needs the friction modifier added. Some people says it's already included, others say to add it. Can anyone give me a definitive answer?

gfong,
You say you used to use it, but now you do not. What do you use? I would go with Motorcraft if I didn't think it was just ripping me off. |

I use just regular non syn in my Detroit TrueTrac that is why I do not use the Syn or modifier anymore.

I use royal purple but still add the ford friction modifier, does hurt for it to be in there and its cheap.
