Re: ugly dealer decals!!!
Are you talking about window decals regarding the vehicle's sale? or what?
Easiest way is with some Invisble Glass (aerosol glass cleaner) and a razor. |

Hair dryer or heat gun..but if you use a heat gun be careful not to heat it up too much.

Re: ugly dealer decals!!!
Funny same way I found my mach! I had to rescue it! It looked like "a feather waitng to be plucked" Anyways I did rescue the sweetie from hell. I hate the Sandy Sansing Chevrolet sticker on it! I know it confuses people when they see it. Thanks for the tip

Re: ugly dealer decals!!!
Unless they changed the adhesive,
I used to take hot water (from a hot water heater will work) from a hose to soften the decal, and it will come off.

Re: ugly dealer decals!!!
You find Mach's & other Fords at chevy dealers because they want to sell something & stay in business!

Re: ugly dealer decals!!!
You gotta tell you're dealer to remove it, so you don't get a headache thinkin' about it! Luckily, mine was on home turf, and sticker free:HOPPY:

Re: ugly dealer decals!!!
I got mine from a ford dealership and they put a decal on it. One of those thick gel covered ones. I was lucky as they had just put it on the car I took it off as soon as I got it. It came right with no problem, I just it didn't have a chance to set.

Re: ugly dealer decals!!!
I had a dealer sticker on mine. It peeled right off the day after I bought it. I used some Goo Gone to remove the left over adhesive. Like I want to drive around with a car dealers name plastered on the back.

Re: ugly dealer decals!!!
I have used the plastic razor blades, the best thing from experience is fingernails. I pick them off then clean with 3M adhesive remover if needed. Should be able to find it at home depot or lowes.

Re: ugly dealer decals!!!
A little bit of heat, and high e guitar string. No scratches, no damage and minimal glue left behind to take off with goo-gone...

Fishing line or dental floss work also. Not everyone has a spare guitar string laying around

Re: ugly dealer decals!!!
Yall must have some strong decals. Any dealer decals I've had to take off have come right off with my fingernails. I finished up with some quick spray to get the rest of the adhesive.

Re: ugly dealer decals!!!
A local Chevy dealership buys all the V8 Mustangs they can find. They know they'll sell them. Normally sell within two weeks. They've never had a Mach on the lot for more than 4 days. I'm good friends with the guy who runs the recon shop so I get a phone call everytime they buy a Mustang.
As far as the sticker goes, I bought mine from a Ford dealership and removed the sticker within 48 hours. They're not paying me to advertise. I upset a salesman one time when he tried to put there license plate frame on the car. I told him to keep it because I'll just take it off as soon as I got home.

Re: ugly dealer decals!!!
I always tell the dealers to remove that crap or I won't make the sale. Let them deal with messing up the paint job. Since I ordered my Mach while I was in Iraq I called the dealership and told them under no circumstances did I want any of their logos on my car.
