Procharger Questions

I am planning on buying a p1sc tuner kit in the next couple weeks. Already have a sct chip so i assume all ill need to buy on my own is the fuel upgrades. What do you guys recommend? What size injectors will i need and do i need to modifiy the stock fuel pump? I hope to make 450 RWHP out of it. Currently have OR-x pipe and magnaflow catback.

Anything else i am missing that i need to pick up before installing?

Also, on the SCT chip, will a new tuner be able to overwrite the current tune that is on it? The previous tuner moved out of state, not sure if there password protected or anything?

Thanks.

Re: Procharger Questions

Ford Racing 47lbs injectors and a focus pump and a boost a pump will be plenty for that but if you plan on going in the future I would get 60lbs injectors now and 03-04 cobra pumps and tank.

Thats kind of what i figured. What BAP? Where is a good place to get the pump and BAP? Any model numbers i should look for either? Is a regular focus fuel pump the same as a SVT?

Thanks.

Kenne Bell is the only one that sells the Boost-A-Pump
20amp and 40amp
20 is for single fuel pump
40 is for dual fuel pumps

i'll see if i can find the part number
i know it been talked about on here, maybe someone can chime in or put a link
to be honest 39lb injectors will work, but like what was said above, if you plan on going more in the future, go ahead and do the 60lb injectors, save you money in the long run

Re: Procharger Questions

also with those HP numbers you don't have to have a BAP
you could do dual 03/04 cobra fuel pumps and that will handle 500rwhp on a loaded dyno

Re: Procharger Questions

Any tuner that uses Sct software should be able to overwrite the current tunes on your chip. I bought a used 4 bank chip and my tuner was able to overwrite it.

I went with an Aviator pump, 42lb injectors and a 20 amp bap.
Like others said an Svt focus pump will work also.

Re: Procharger Questions

I am running the 40 amp BAP with a Single Ford GT supercar pump. My car makes 480whp with 42lb injectors. The 40 amp pump will work with a GT supercar pump and it is the BAP recommended for it as well. I have been told from kenne bell that a Ford GT pump and the 40 amp BAP will support around 550whp.

How about a gt40 pump and no BAP for now for 450rwhp? I could always add the bap later if i go higher right? Those pumps cost what? About $100 from the dealership?

Re: Procharger Questions

you should be fine with just adding the a highflow fuel pump, and not having to have the BAP

Re: Procharger Questions

Ok, think i am going with the gt40 pump, ordered it over the weekend.

How about the maf? Diablo mafia or a new sensor all together? Im only looking for 450 rwhp, im guessing the stock one will peg out quickly?

Re: Procharger Questions

yeah I would just get another one. And go ahead and get a BAP I am not sure a single GT pump will handle 450whp

Diablo MAF works great. It tricks your stock MAF reading.

a MAFia will work fine on the stock MAF, if you want a different MAF get a Lightning MAF with the MAFia and call it a day

Re: Procharger Questions

Yes the mafia will work with the stock MAF, dont need to spend the extra money on a lighting, the stock one will work. I have the 60lb injectors and a svt focus fuel pump, no BAP. I have very similar mods as you do and made 440+rwhp, with a 4 inch pully.

congrates man, whats your duty cycle looking like, i'm sure just the fuel pump would have worked out, but can't go wrong with having the insurance and as long as its in your budget than i say its a good thing, congrates
how much boost you running and was that on a dyno jet or loaded dyno?

Not sure about the duty cycle they didn't mention it so I'm guessing its good. Made 9 psi w/ a 3.8 pulley on a dynojet

Re: Procharger Questions

A single Stryker 340 pump and 60# injectors. No need for a BAP, cobra hat or tank. Takes some modification to make the pump fit in the stock hat but it's worth it.

I would get an SCT BA5000 or HPX slot style Maf.

With these parts you will be good for 600rwhp if you ever plan to get there and the pump setup is cheaper than a Focus pump/BAP setup.

With all the new pumps out there is no way I would waste money on a cobra fuel system or any of the BAP's. A Stryker 340 is $150 and it will handle more power by its self than most of those will with a BAP.
