Sorry Falcon, I would like to have seen a mediocre SEC team beat a top Big Ten team any day.

Don't tell my wife, I usually root for SEC schools but I sort of hope Texas wins 100-0. I don't feel like alot Alabama fans are a very gracious lot when they win and they seem to revel in the losses of others. I don't do the Seminole "tomahawk" gesture when Florida beats FSU, yet it seems like the second the clock ticks down to 0:00 everyone who beats Florida does the Gator Chomp. Not to say my team is perfect, I occasionally see them do things I find distasteful as well. I try to be congratulatory to other teams, but it seems like sportsmanship is on the wane in modern society.

I'm just glad none of the players were seriously hurt because of the field conditions.

They've already announced that they're switching the field to artificial turf due to the amount of usage the field gets. thank god.

anyone remember that Dolphins vs Steelers game in pittsburg a couple years ago?

Yeah, just watching the players try to make turns and the QBs setting up for passes looked like real work. Someone could have seriously been hurt, but it was kinda old school cool seeing them get really muddy. Not something you see often these days, but growing up it was something you just took for granted: Grass+Rain=Mud.

Re: College Football back in full swing!

Outstanding play be Tebow & Co., I just wish they had played liek that in the SEC Championship game. It's good to see him go out on such a high note, I just wonder how kind the NFL will be to him.

That was a real football game, like its should be played. Grass+ rain = mud.
Plus it was a good, close game.

I think the officials blew two calls at the end of the game. Thankfully they blew one in each direction, so I don't think it altered the outcome. They totally missed an offsides call against LSU when PSU was on the 2 yard line, and then chucked a flag against LSU for their lineman trying to remove PSU's player from the pile.

Ah well...I'm just dang glad PSU won!!
