Mustang 50th anniv. show info thread - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

As we're less than two years from it (that will pass quickly), I thought I'd start this thread to get the chatter going about the 50th anniv show(s) as far as who plans on attending, which show and any other plans we need to make for those events.

As a compulsive planner, I think this is a great idea for a thread. I am already thinking of ways to organize a cruise up to Charlotte for the local Mustang community. As to the Mach owners out there, I see in the MCA article that allowances will be made for the various clubs and groups to have representation at the event. I hope the Mach 1 Registry will be one of them.

We had a strong presence at the Mustang 45th and the MCA 30th as a club, and of course we are always big at Carlisle so I'd look forward to good things i two years.

John, I'll be there with my mach, Kim will have her '87 LX 5.0 and my son Jordan will have his '02 Saleen. We will be going to Charlotte and I will have track time! I can't wait!!!!!! It's going to be EPIC!

I'll probaly hit the Charlotte celebration...don't know what drive I'll decide on yet though. Maybe do one that starts in Mustang, OK

Actually, there's this kinda big show, the Mustang 50th anniversary event that's going to happen in April 2014 there. You might either want to sign up, or leave town. It's gonna be big!

well at this time some members from the Tri-state area. In-Ky-Oh are coming to Charlotte. Been along time since I have been to NC. I'm sure "Hollywood" will make the trip.

That's the hope, and the subject of much of discussion at this past Carlisle event. That is the event I plan on being at, as well as Dave, Russ, Tony, Haeg, Bill Hamilton...oh, wait...most of these guys dont' even have Machs any more!?! Oh, well, it'll still be fun...and bring yer' Mach if ya got one!

I have an idea (not exactly an original one, it came from something Bill Hamilton did this past Carlisle show) about something for our 'display' that will be different from other clubs, and appreciated by those who 'get' it.
Let's get local club shirts from each of the clubs that our members are affiliated with and display them in the tent as a show of the various corners of the earth that the Registry encompasses. If you think it's a good idea, post up. If you want to contribute, PM for details.

April 15th to the 20th Charlotte, NC in 2014 I should be able to make that one, I think. I will start planning to be their.
Will there be a hotel choice for M1R (Shelby Division)

members to stay at? Hopefully a safe place to park overnight and hang with everyone.

I like it, I'll see what I can find. If I can't find a Mustang car club type shirt would a Mustang Shoot Out type shirt work from a a local track?

This sounds like fun keep me up to date I will try to make it. I did make the 40th that was alot of fun looking forward to it.
