You will need the following:

1. T56 Magnum..either the close ratio version 2.66 1st .63 6th or the wide ratio which has a 2.97 1st and a .50 6th

2. Bell Housing. An alulminum one runs as much as a QuickTime Steel bell so go QuickTime (plus, it's SFI rated)

3. New clutch disc. Assuming your pressure plate and flywheel are in good shape, then all you need is a 26 spline clutch disc. The 3650 has a 10 spline input, the Magnum is 26.

4. Modify your cross member. If you have a GT all you have to do is slide your current cross member rearward in the slotted mounts to pickup the tail housing of the magnum. If you have a Cobra, you will need to modify it slightly.

5. Shorten your current driveshaft 2".

6. The bolt pattern on the shifter for the 3650 is metric where the Magnum uses 3/8" bolts. You can either buy a new shifter handle or drill out the bolt holes on your factory handle to 3/8" and call it done.

That's basically all you need. All your wiring from the 3650 harness will transfer straight over to the Magnum. The slip yoke on your driveshaft will fit the output shaft of the Magnum but like I said above, you will have to have the D/S shortened 2".
I had/have the 2.97 Magnum. you will need a bell housing. if you're making this big a change, you may as well do a new clutch too. If you don't want to, you do need a 26-spline disc. D&D sells just the disc.

I was looking at pictures of my Mach and it looks like the stock crossmember, but i can't remember if we modified it

The driveshaft does need to be shortened. When we did it we just ordered a new custom shaft.

All the harnesses from the 3650 plug right in. The only extra thing you'll need to wire up is the solenoid for the reverse lockout. You don't have to wire it up, but it's much harder to put it into reverse without it. I didn't wire it cause i was racing the car a lot and didn't want it to be easy to accidentally put it in reverse.

I used an aftermarket shifter handle so that wasn't an issue.

Let me know if i can help with anything else.

I checked out their site. I don't think that's a bad prices at all. I don't know anyone who has the clutch they reccomend. I'm assuming that would be fine for stock or near stock power..? Is there anything you need on the engine side as far as being able to use the 26 spline tranny input shaft? Offering a complete kit like this is the way I like to go personally.

Re: T56 magnum swap

Funny, I remember being probably the 1st person around here to notice these trans came in a configuration for our cars way back in the summer of 09. Nice to see a decent amount of people are going with this setup. For me the options of a 2.97 1st combined with a .5th 6th alone made it a much better choice than a standard T56 for a N/A car.

Re: T56 magnum swap

Thanks guys, I am buying a barely used 26 spline clutch off of a buddy and was hoping that all I posted was all I needed, looks like I should be able to swing this come winter. I'm pumped that I'm going to be able to go to the track again and start collecting for an eaton swap.

Re: T56 magnum swap

I have a quicktime bell housing on my T56 magnum without issue. The T56 and T56 magnum bellhousing setup is exactly the same
