The Pace cars belong to my cronys Rob and Steve. The picture below was taken by me of Rob's car coming down the hill into turn # 4 at Pacific Raceways during our clubs [Mustangs Northwest] MCA Grand Nationals Race Day event this year.

Cool, it looks like 1979 all over again, except.....sn197s and sn95s are behind it.

Re: Pace car of 1979 restored.

I have a major soft spot for those four-eyed cars. Sometimes I think my favorite car of the three I own is my '86, even though it needs a bit of work.

Also as an FYI, I couldn't tell from the pics if they also were able to redo the Recaro's in the proper material???

Common Misconception has the Recaro fabric as the "Holy Grail" find for Pace Restoration. SMS Auto Fabric in Grandby Oregon has bolts of the material for around 75 a yard.
Rob and Steve are both gold card MCA judges and I know they both have a bundle of coin in both and are done right.
