Aluminator prices

Merry Christmas all!

I have been hunting around through several sites to find the best price on a FI Aluminator crate motor. I have seen quite a range on prices, does anyone have the scoop on the best deal. The racket coming from under the hood is telling me to hurry up before the old gal gives me a break down for Christmas. Thanks in advance!

Re: Aluminator prices

She has ~130,000 miles. A wicked chatter (tick?) has become very present. It follows rpm, it is from start up all the way thru the band, clutch in just brings the noise back to the rpm. To qualify the noise... You could strap in a suspected terrorist in the passenger seat and within a hour they would ready to talk. It is loud enough that the radio is required at all times to maintain sanity.

I am the first to admit that I am a rookie at all this. I want to learn, I'm good with tools and listen well, so I look at this situation as a good chance to learn a life skill.

Any input will be much appreciated and valued!

Re: Aluminator prices

Well she died today, RIP, noise got terrible then it turned off. Got it restarted and had faint smoke coming from the top of the engine, centered, back by the firewall. I'm going to pull the plugs and hopefully do a compression test. What a time a year for this. Thanks everyone for your continued support.
