Re: Procharger Delivery!!
Looks fantastic. I love that piece to the throttle body. Your welder buddy did a great job.

Rock Auto or Amazon (I've used them both for the HD belts).

Re: Procharger Delivery!!
Not good ()...but I've been flirting with learning about and pulling the trigger on a budget busting, over the top, full blown, real-deal engine build these days..since it's clear that will be my "limiting factor" after all this is done. lol

Re: Procharger Delivery!!
We finally got back around to working on the Mach 1 the other Saturday (for a few hours at least).
We did another mock-up of the intercooler to throttle body piping now that the MAF fitting was rotated. This setup works much better. Also ended up "tweaking" another joint right where it goes into the intercooler itself. The entire passenger side fender has been removed to allow for the piping to slide right into its final place easier but we shouldn't need to add any silicone joints to the overall system. The aluminum pipes are off to get fully welded at this point – then it’s just one more ‘test fit’ on everything before it all gets powdercoated. With the piping adjusted & remarked – we dropped the ‘old’ fuel tank & started to investigate the aftermarket tank & dual-pump setup some more. After looking at things, we didn’t really like the “pre-made’ wiring harness related to adding a second factory controller – so we are changing things up on that front. I purchased a staged fuel pump controller from Fore (FC3 Dual/Triple Pump Staged Controller with 4 AWG Wiring Kit: $239) The Fore unit is essentially a compact multiple fuse & relay setup that is pretty slick when it comes to controlling my double fuel pump setup (and triple if/when needed). It will also allow for pump staging in the future (AKA – Only kicking on a 3rd pump when needed under heavy load via a Hobbs switch type input). I’m planning on running a dedicated 4 AWG feed from the battery to the controller as well as new dedicated lines to each pump. The wiring & controller will handle my current pumps as well as anything I might run in the future. Then using a relay setup, I’ll wire this new Fore controller to accept the pulse modulated signal that is produced by the factory fuel pump driver module. Basically, by setting it up this way – my upgraded fuel system should still function “like stock” when it comes to priming the pumps & controlling fuel pressure based on the duty cycle of the pumps. I also (finally) unpacked my "upgraded Cobra style fuel tank (w/ increased baffle design & larger capacity sump)" from Glenns performance. Everything looks to be pretty straightforward on that swap & the aftermarket fuel hat & level indicator should mount without issue. Few generic pictures of the snazzy billet aluminum controller from Fore:

Re: Procharger Delivery!!
Well, the piping is about 90% fully welded & ready to head to powdercoating here soon.
The raw intake piece at the Procharger needs to have a few hose connections welded onto it for the bypass valve and the passenger side valve cover breather. Once we test fit that - it can get final welded & everything gathered-up for the powdercoater to do his thing. Few pictures of everything just roughly sitting in place:

Re: Procharger Delivery!!
Novice here but I see alot of these build pics on here. Doesnt that air cooler up front block the radiator alot. is there something else done for the cooling system after its said and done or does it not make a difference.

I did upgrade my radiator & I'm sure I'll have to pay attention to the 'air dam' that helps direct air up across the radiator some. No Sir. I'll be using a slot-style MAF (BA-5000 from SCT) in a blow-through configuration. It's somewhat hidden in these pictures - but the housing is already welded onto that straight section of piping after it weaves up into the engine bay. Here is a 'slightly' better picture (during fabrication):

Re: Procharger Delivery!!
Great work on the piping. The welds are nice enough I wouldn't paint them!

Re: Procharger Delivery!!
Well, still slowly making some progress on this thing....
The other weekend we got the 'details' done on the stainless-steel Magnaflow X-pipe. Pictures show the extra bung our welder added for the wideband air/fuel sensor. Magnaflow had a few 'suggestions' of usage (AKA: "Off-Road Use Only") stamped on the heat shield of each catalytic converter as well as a strap tacked onto the pipe itself. Soooo - those were basically "removed" from sight via light grinding, a bit of smoothing & a quick shot of touch-up paint. If I don't pass the dyno emission test due to actual emission readings - that is one thing (I'm fine with the outcome). However, I don't want them to have the thought in their head during the initial visual portion of the inspection (when they use the underbody mirror) before I even get strapped on the dyno to have a shot at the test.

Re: Procharger Delivery!!
We got another day of work in a bit ago & kept making progress on the wiring for the sensors & whatnot.
We mounted the line-lock arming switch where the factory cigarette lighter was mounted. The lighter was exactly the same size as the keyed switch I wanted to use. Without the key being in the closed position, the line-lock wont be armed which will prevent temporary drivers from having a bit too much fun. In addition to overall system control, this setup will allow me to utilize the factory cruise control 'off' button as the trigger for the line-lock solenoid itself. When this keyed 'arming switch' is in the open position - the factory cruise control & buttons will operate as designed from the factory 100% of the time. However, when the keyed switch is closed - the SPDT relay we are adding will change state & allow the factory cruise control 'off' button to operate the line-lock system whenever it is held down. Using the cruise button will allow me to activate the line-lock system without having to remove a hand from the steering wheel. Because the factory cruise button is a momentary type switch, whenever I release it, the line lock system will deactivate automatically. We also transferred all of the factory O2 sensors & the new wideband sensor over to the new Magnaflow X-pipe. The crossover is now installed & off the garage floor as well! Other than the switch - there isn't much to "show". Day full of wire loom installation, repinning factory connectors & planning our overall distribution.

Re: Procharger Delivery!!
Well in-between all of the tedious wiring going on for the Mach - I received a little 'present' yesterday....
The items are back from powder coating:

Re: Procharger Delivery!!
Pipes look great...are you using solid motor mounts because the motor WILL move and that pipe will hit the inner fender....I dented the duck out of my inner.

Hmmm - I wasn't planning on changing my motor mounts at this point. I was just going to "line" the opening with an edge-guard type product (similar to how the stock Procharger routing is done). I guess I'll have to keep an eye on it though. lol
