down shifting into second?

last night while i was driven around the mach didnt like getting down shifted from 3rd to 2nd. wasnt drivin fast or slowin down fast just regular driving. only did this for a while but when i down shifted it would go in gear and then immediatly kick it back out and not let me put it back in untill i was almost at a stop. then directly after i tried to back up and it did the same thing in reverse. first i thought it was the syncro goin bad in second but then when it did it in reverse made me think not since its rare that the reverse syncro's go out. any body else ever had this problem or know what it might be?

Re: down shifting into second?

if you have a short throw might want to re check it to make sure it is still in the right spot, and it may be you might need a adj clutch cable kit.
