Auto 4r70w guys in here

So I bought this 4r70w with like 165,000 miles on it, it lasted two track days/12 passes. I rebuilt it with top notch regular parts with the addition of a Trans Go shift kit. It has been tuned along with my engine tune.
My question is this. Is it okay to use the O/D switch as a downshift from 75+ with my foot off the pedal?
I would never do a full power upshift into O/D.
Thanks!

I don't see why not. If you pressed the throttle wide open at 75 it would down shift anyway. I have a manual valve body and down shift with the OD button all most every time I slow down. No ill effects yet, but I normally don't do it at 70 unless I plan on going WOT.

Thats really what I'm referring to. Say I was having some fun with someone on a freeway in Mexico and I catch up to the next pack of cars and don't really want to get on the binders, just shave off enough speed to blend in.
