A few laps around Mosport
Here is some video footage from Monday when we had our annual Mustangs@Mosport event. Now is called Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. This is around the 'big' track that the NASCAR Truck Series is now using.
My car has factory power and drivetrain with SLP catback. Suspension includes MM coilovers (Bilsteins) with the 300lb springs up front, with the MM torque arm, panhard bar, ta track springs and MM lower control arms. EBS slotted brakes with EBS Red pads. For this footage I have 275x17 Nitto NT-05s mounted on Steeda Ultralite wheels. They are costing me about 5 seconds vs the Hoosier slicks I normally run. Enjoy ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YihXfN2421E and sorry about the poor sound. i originally thought it was wind noise but the mic muff I used didn't do anything. I think it is picking up vibrations right into the camera mounted right to the windshield glass (inside the car). The camera is a Blackvue security dashcam. Re: A few laps around Mosport
I had to cut/paste the link. I kept pretending that was me in my red Mach 1!
I've done the Texas Motor Speedway thing, but this looks like great fun too. Big Ron |

Re: A few laps around Mosport
here is another video I did back in June. This track was just reconfigured so it was entirely resurfaced in the spring. All new facilities. It was amazing getting out onto pavement that was only a few weeks old.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akFSUHOtJRE And in this one I am out on the track with a friend in another '03 TR Mach1, with very similar mods. But he has about 50hp on me - which is noticeable on the straights. We usually run for a bit, let the other pass and then carry on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xSIhHGKr8s |

Re: A few laps around Mosport
thanks. yeah, I love running with him at the track.
he's got me beat on power and I have the Cobra front end, but otherwise we have basically the same mods everywhere else. lap times are similar too when we are on the same tire. |
