Electric Fans Load Engine
Whenever my fans turn on, they seem to bog down the engine. My RPMs probably drop to about 400-500 for a second whenever they kick on and then recovers to 800. Is this fairly normal or happen with anyone else? I don't recall it ever doing that when I had the original SOHC motor in the car.

Re: Electric Fans Load Engine
There will be a dip because they put a load on the electrical system. Yours seems high though. Maybe one of the motors is pulling high amperage when it starts. I'd start by measuring the current (amperage) of both fans to see if this is the case.
PM me if you are not sure how to do this.
